Suffolk Peer challenges Government on use of speed cameras

In a debate on the number of speed cameras, Baroness Scott of Needham Market raised the concerns of many when seeking assurances from Ministers that local police forces are not using speed cameras as a substitute for highways policing. As she noted in her speech on 28 January, while cameras undoubtedly pick up speed, they do not pick up drink-driving, dangerous driving, tailgating and such practices.
