Grayson At Remembrance Parade

Hemel Hempstead's Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate, Dr Richard Grayson, laid a wreath on the Hemel Hempstead war memorial at the Dacorum Remembrance Day Parade yesterday. It was the sixth successive year in which he has taken part in the ceremony. He commented:
"In my work as a professional historian I am currently writing a book about the First World War. So I encounter issues of loss and remembrance on a daily basis. But I always find Remembrance Sunday an incredibly moving occasion. It gives us all an opportunity to reflect on the heroism and sacrifice of our armed services. That applies both to wars that raged across the twentieth century, in addition to the ongoing conflicts being fought as we speak."
