"Safer A507" Petitioners Disappointed by Decision of Hertfordshire Tories
Huge volumes of traffic, sharp bends, low bridges have been causing problems for years on the A507, which, for an "A" road, is quite narrow in places. Villages are plagued with congestion and pollution and HGVs have difficulty in passing each other in several places. In addition, there have been numerous bridge strikes as larger HGVs, misled by inaccurate satvav, are too tall to get under the Baldock railway bridge.
