The Coalition Government brought in some well needed reforms to the delivery of public health programmes and the provision of public health services. Public Health is now the responsibility of the principal local authorities, like Hertfordshire County Council. Money was taken from the NHS budget and given to these local authorities to finance their activities.

Last Sunday evening, at about 7.00pm there was a dangerous situation on Scotsbridge Playing Fields as 5/6 horses and carts were driven around at considerable speed regardless of the risk to pedestrians, children and dogs. They rejected requests to behave more sensibly. This was reported to the police. If any one has witnessed a similar incident , either at Scotsbridge or elsewhere, please let us know.
